I discovered the existence of fanfiction in September 2006, and posted my first story in October 2006, after which my life changed completely (for the better!) I've been a LotR lover, and I've made up angsty stories with the characters long before that, but I never wrote them down and had no idea other people were doing that too.
I write mainly friendship, angst, and hurt/comfort stories. My longer stories usually feature Aragorn, Legolas, Arwen, Eldarion, Gimli, Faramir, Elrond, or Elladan and Elrohir, but in my one-shots you can see pretty much everyone, including Bill the Pony :)

Date: 01/10/10 Title: Chapter 1: And so our friendship began...
I know this story was written a long time ago, and I kept hearing (or rather reading) how good it is, but for some reason I delayed reading it myself. I am very glad I did so today - it is a beautiful work.
I believe it stayed quite true to canon, definitely more true than many other stories do. First meeting stories are hard to write because, on one hand, you would want Legolas and Aragorn to be friends already by the end of the story, but on the other friendships are not formed so easily and it is hard to make it realistic. Here you have done a wonderful job - the characters' reactions are very believable, and it is no wonder that their friendship grew in a matter of days. Great conflict, and great suspense too.
Perfect, flawless work - the one that keeps you at the edge of your seat, while at the same time warms your heart, and not many tales can do both. Thank you for the enjoyable reading!

Date: 12/10/09 Title: Chapter 13: A Rough Welcome
This is getting better and better! I do not mind that Aragorn took a little detour before Moria, on the contrary, the additional storyline with Lytegian only added to the plot. It was a nice and unexpected twist to make him a skin-changer and now we have to wonder if he is a man, who can turn into a spider, or vise versa. The second seems more likely, but who know what you have in mind, and I wonder if he will appear again before the end of this story. I suppose Aragorn will have to bring Gollum to Mirkwood anyway, so we will see what has happened in the meantime.
You are building up the tension quite nicely. Everyone is expecting the angst to come, but there is still a long road to go before we get there. You have done great with connecting this story with The Hobbit, dismissing some of the more childish motives, and yet staying true to canon. I’m looking forward to more!

Thanks, Star. I'm having ever so much fun with this, and believe me, there are a few surprises in store for Aragorn before he gets to Moria. I like to connect my fanon, so he will be running into Angwe and Artire, but the fun is in how I make it happen. To be honest, I'm not sure yet, but I'll have as much fun as you do finding out. :D

Ha! The Watcher, some other strange and powerful creature, and the Balrog all want to have fun with Aragorn... this can't end well! I'm curious to see how he is going to get out of this, and even more curious to see what they are going to do to him. Very exciting so far and I can smell the angst coming soon!
