Strange. I distinctly remember reading this story before, but it's sitting in my inbox marked as "to read". Which resulted in me reading it again and (probably) commenting again. I guess there are worse things in life:)

Well, to me Aragorn is always a very independent character. Someone who does things by himself instead of trusting others with it. So it's very important for him to experience from time to time that it's good and important to have people he can rely upon!

And I wonder what was in those parcels:) 

O, that wouldn't be good if he died on his big day! Now, to be honest, this wasn't terribly well written, but it is enough for a one shot. And, probably the best thing for a story to do, is not just make the reader enjoy it (though that is very important) is to inspire the reader to a) do the moral shown, or such as, and b) write their own twist on it. This has given me an ever blossoming idea for a story, and, if it reaches a state of ripeness, then I will tell all of my readers it was inspired by your story. It won't be so close, but if carefully examined, they could see threads pulled from your work.
