Errrr... that is defiently AU. Extremely. Otherwise Legolas would still be fifteenish/sixteenish when Aragorn would be crowned King. And Orli *so* doesn't look fifteen. (Nothing to be implied, just he's one hot guy who happens to be very much an adult) And Tolkien wrote a 7000 year old Elf who did not act as a teenager... unless you count the tallying at Helm's Deep. But when, I ask you, do men really, fully grow up? This wasn't the greatest AU written, but it wasn't horrible. I had trouble forcing my mind to grasp the situation you laid forth, but that was me, not you.
