O, I would love to see some narrative story behind this, like at the end of the poem you can add some more colour and depth to it. We know from Tolkien Denethor never liked Thorongil, so this is very realistic, and if you could go further, you could strike gold (now that the challenge or whatever is over). Just a thought, but it is great all the same. The last line was my favourite.
