Every year on the first day of March. Every year. I must say, honestly, this is not your best fic. It felt... cheesy... almost. It wasn't fully, and I can name one who would say I am nuts for saying it was even almost cheesy, so what do I know? They've been reading a lot more, and are not addicted to one author. So I'm not sure if its just the plot, or myself, really. Perhaps it was the awkwardness of the characters in my mind (though it is no doubt *me* that is the problem). I did like your descriptions, and your end soothed most of the roughness away. The sorrow of the Elves is nigh tangible, and it brightened the weaving of the tale as much as it saddened it. I'm glad you gave such a happy ending. Not like it can be overly happy... I mean... you killed Aragorn (I know... Tolkien did first)! But crongrats on the 3rd place, tied with an equally good story! I still love your writing, so I'll be swinging by soon!

Author's Response: Yea, I know it's kind of missing something, but I got tired of working on it & there was a deadline. Cheesy? For such a sad fic, I find that description funny! I think more than anything, it doesn't quite flow right, but that's ok. I'm still learning about pulling all this off. Right now I think Never Alone is my best fic but I've not started posting it here yet. It's not perfect by any means, but I GREW through that tale! *grin* Once I get Never Again finished, I will add Never Alone too. Though...it's another story that deals with Legolas and the sea, though not exclusively by any means...such more there. I can't complain about tying for 3rd with my own beta!
