Wonderful story of Estel and his 'Restor!  I love how this little boy can so easily get to that curmudgeon! :)

‘And tomorrow I won’t go out to play, and you can only give me bread and water to eat.’

OMG, that was so funny! I can't wait for Estel to try to talk to 'Restor!

So Erestor is leaving after all... *sniff*.

Thank you for all the extra info in the notes at the end. I always love reading about that kind of stuff. How a story was first "received", how a vague idea turns into a fully fleshed story.

Oh, Estel's reaction to Erestor pouring his heart out was totally priceless: "That's silly." Made me chuckle. To say something like that in the face of grief truly takes the naivety of a child!

Luckily, Estel doesn't hold grudges - that was a very cheap move from Erestor, selling Estel out to his father like that. I'm pretty sure he didn't really mean it that way, but it came across like that.

Oh, I like the write you write this conversation between the three brothers, feels very realistic to me: Because while Estel is very persistent in what he wants to know, all three are continously digressing from the actual topic. It's very amusing.

Now, let's see whether Estel actually dares to ask Erestor outright!

Intruiging beginning. Let's see where you're going to take this *clicks on to the next chapter*.

That's a very touching story about Erestor and a young but already brave Estel. I liked the background you gave Erestor, and how it emerged through Estel's innocent questions.
