Amazing. I really like it! I think you chose a fascinating topic for a vignette, one that hasn't been touched often in fanfiction - if at all. There are varying interpretations on how Aragorn's childhood might have looked liked, but I'm agreeing with you. I firmly believe he was not only the sole mortal, but also the sole child amongst those elves, which must have been very lonely at times (though, he might have realized that only later - maybe during just such a moment as you're describing).

But for all the interesting pondering he's doing here, it's still lovely to see how interacting with these children comes quite naturally to him (or rather, how the kids flock to him - as they always tend to with those who feel the most uncomfortable in their presence).
