I admit, I'm not much of a dwarf fan, but I *do* like those elf/dwarf bonding stories, because those two are just soooo different, it's fun to see them yanking each other's chain. And I love those AUs, because it shows you that a scene can take a totally different turn if you chance just a very small thing. You did both excellently, I enjoyed it a lot!
Author's Response: I don't know about other dwarves, but I think Gimli is a terrific character, and yes, he and Legolas are very different. Yanking each other's chain is a good way to put it. Once they did bond, their jibes were done with love and not animosity. It’s true that so much hinges on a series of events happening in a certain way, and changing one thing in that series can change everything. Love that stuff, too. It’s fascinating.
