For the love of the Lord of the White Tree, indeed! At additionally, he's quite old enough to move out of his home methinks:)

Author's Response:

Have you read Legolas Q's story? That quote always makes me think of it... for obvious reasons. *g* Well, you should probably talk to Elladan and Elrohir about moving out of home! LOL. Thank you very much for reaviewing! :)

AWW!!!!!!!!

lol, thank you so much for letting me know.

This was very sweet...

While I was reading this, I couldn't bare to think of me reading a story of yours about Legolas finally losing Aragorn to death... NO!! I hope you NEVER do such a thing... only if its only in a nightmare, where in the end, the ranger would be much alive.

"What I had and still have is worth the pain, and it will always be worth it.”  That line kinda hit me deep. That is love man. I would love to be loved that way, where amor is unconditional.

The relationship of our elf and his father is very heartwarming... I LOVE your Thranduil, he's the father the elf deserves. I hope you bring him often in stories. And I liked when Thranduil told Legolas that he would not leave without him. Ai, those two...three (with aragorn).

You never fail to disappoint me Tinu. Short this story was, but satisfying to the core.

Take care Tinu

Love ya lots, HUGGLE!!!

Author's Response:

Hehe - my pleasure! :)

I really don't think I will write a character death story, not even about Aragorn dying of his age... *sniff* Somehow I believe they found a solution to that problem and lived happily ever after, like in the Mellon Chronicles... Perhaps they will just be allowed to meet again some day in Valinor...

I would love to be loved that way, too! :) That's one of the wonderful things about their friendship for me, that their love for each other is unconditional. *sigh*

Hehe, I really love writing about those two by now, and I've grown quite fond of Thranduil! I think he will pop up quite often. ;-) I think as a loving father he really would not just sail and leave Legolas behind to watch his friends die. *sniff*

I'm glad my stories meet your expectations and that you loved this one! *hugs* Thank you very much for reviewing! :)

Aww, that was truly a good idea for this prompt. I never really considered the idea that Legolas moved to Ithilien to stay closer to his friends. Of course he would feel the time rushing him by, now that the peace had finally returned to the lands.

And, I enjoyed seeing Thranduil as a loving and caring father, not the tyrant he usually is in stories. Thanks for the great read! Imaginigma :o)

Author's Response:

I always thought that it was part of Legolas' reason to move down there, though I think one could find other reasons, too. ;-) Yes, I guess Legolas had not much time to worry about his friends' life-span as long as they were still busy to fight for survival... But I guess the time afterwards must have been both joyful and sad for him.

For some reason my Thranduil decided to be a loving father, and I really like him that way, too. :) I enjoy writing about their relationship. I'm very glad you liked my story! Thank you so much for reviewing! :)

Aaaww!! What can I say?? I *love* Legolas and Thranduil stories!! It is funny... but when I read it in the books, for some reason it kinda sounded so easy for Legolas to leave Mirkwood and go to Ithilien... but it wasn't!! I never thought about the fact that all that he fought for all his life, he would never get to see... and that he would be leaving behind his family!! But it is really comforting to see Thranduil promise to him, that he would never leave without his son!! I simply loved it!! :) And I'm sooo glad you're back!!

Author's Response:

Thank you, I'm glad you loved it! :) Yes, in the books one could really
believe that Legolas does not have a family at all. I think it is
mentioned only once that he is Thranduil's son, and that's all we ever learn. Well, it sure leaves a lot of possibilities for fanfiction. ;-) After all the time Legolas had fought to protect Mirkwood it struck me as quite sad that he never got to live there after it was finally free. Hm, I guess Ithilien was a nice place to live, too, but still... My Thranduil is a really loving father - I simply couldn't imagine that he would just sail away and leave his sea-longing affected son behind. :( The funny thing is that I did not think about Thranduil making that promise when I started writing this story... it was Thranduil's idea. LOL.

I had some problems with work and health for a while, but I hope it
is better now. Not sure yet... It's good to be back, too! :) Thank you for posting a review here as well!
