I am so glad Aragorn had Legolas to remind him from time to time what he fought for, especially when the grief of losing one of his men would bring all those doubts to the surface. This was great, Tinu - every man or woman who leads others through difficult times should have a friend to remind them that the darkness does not defeat the light, and love is much stronger than death. Linda (I dearly love your little friendship quotes at the beginning of your stories...I'm going to have to find some for you! LOL)
Author's Response: I think those two really need each other - otherwise they'd surely drown in self-doubt or be killed by some orcs/wargs/spiders/whatevers. I agree completely that every leader should have such a friend. It is wonderful to have someone at your side who is able to remind you of the strength of light and love from time to time. :) Hehe, you are welcome to do so!
