I liked the balance between character development and lighthearted fun. Don't we all have relatives like Morwen? You just can't shut them up, they never even realize they cost people their last nerve:) Liked poor Talbeth as well. I'm sure that uncivilized ranger caused him to lose several nights' sleep. His recounting of Aragorn's terrible deeds was hilarious. He lighted a fire, how could he!! That man has no manners...
Author's Response: Hi Michelle, thanks for your review. I wanted to deal with some of the weighty issues between Faramir and Aragorn (like Thorongil-Denethor) in a way that was not overcome with dreariness. This story is a sort of sequel to "Contrapunto." G.A. |
