Etain01/16/11 08:31 pm5: Chapter 5 - Tuck Your Head UnderAnonymous

Wow, I don't check this website for about a week and there are two new chapters! :D

Still a great story, really! I love these two eagles! Poor them, loosing Belechen =( I really felt sorry for them...

Please keep your good work up!

Author's Response:

Thank you, Etain!  And yeah, I'm updating on Mondays and Thursdays, so 2 chapters a week. :)  I'm glad you're enjoying the story, and glad the Eagles' sad story stirred your sympathies!

New chapter up on Monday. :)

Thank you very much for the 4. chapter, this is getting better and better. This is very well written again, I could almost see Menelris and her gentle, motherly (?) loving care for Strider or Thorongil touched me deep. I'm glad the droop is gone and he's doing better, at least the wound is looking better. And the title of the chapter is fantastic, although you have to read it first to understand, I liked it very much.

Author's Response:

Thanks!  Yes, the droop is gone, and with it at least a few of Gandalf's worries. :)   I'm glad you like the idea of a motherly Eagle... and the chapter title, yes, definitely chosen to draw a reader in by making them wonder what in the world that phrase means!   Thanks for the review!

babschwi01/07/11 12:27 pm3: Chapter 3 - Wishing For A Penny Beyond ReachAnonymous

oh and again a very beautiful written chapter. Thank you very much ,  it leaves me worried with Aragorns drooping eyelild, but I hope it is nothing serious! And I think the eagle can help either in carrying them away or fetching help. Chewing my nails and waiting for more.

Author's Response:

Thank you again, babschwi!  So glad you liked this... poor Aragorn does have a bit of a bad headache, doesn't he, poor Ranger!  Let's hope that Eagle will heed Gandalf's call. :)   Thanks for the review!

Etain01/06/11 05:01 pm1: Chapter 1 - "Elbereth... hear me... help me..." Anonymous

Wow... great story so far! I'm most eager to read the next chapter =)

The end of this chapter made me laugh out loud... a dragon hoard full of mithril^^

Really great story! Thanks for giving us that to read =)

Author's Response:

Thank you, Etain!  I'm so glad you're enjoying this, and took the time to leave a review.  Gandalf is none too pleased with his slow wits at the end of the chapter, is he.  But I think, given all he's had to deal with, he has good reason to be a little late in recognizing the boon about to land on his doorstep. :)

Again, thanks for the review, and I hope you continue enjoying the story.

Hi, thank you so much for the second chapter. I like the humor in it ( esp. orc repellent, punctured companions) and the gentle care from Gandalf to Aragorn. And I am really curious what happend to Aragorn and I hope, he will be well again.

Author's Response:

Thank you, babschwi!  So glad you liked this chapter and the humor in it... that orc repellent is actually Halbarad's horse balm, which showed up in my story "At Hope's Edge"... it's horrible smelling but works very well on sore muscles on men as well as horses.  It's just too bad Gandalf doesn't know that!   Another chapter coming tomorrow!  Thanks again for the review. :)

Author's Response:

Thank you, babschwi!  I'm so glad you liked this... and it will continue with the next chapter on Monday, if all goes well.  I'll be posting 2 chapters a week until all 10 and the epilogue are up.  Thanks for the review!
