Ah, you included quite a few of my favourite characters: lots of Halbarad, bits of Gandalf. The only one who is missing is Ioreth (I find her most amusing). I've always liked that aspect of Aragorn. It's a bit mystical and every author can interpret Aragorn's healing abilities to his or her liking - which I find very fascinating.
And I must say, I'd love to have someone around who would bring me athelas when I have a headache. That must be so wonderful!
Author's Response: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased you enjoyed this story.Sorry about the lack of Ioreth, but I did give her her own story in "The Old that is Strong". I'd love someone to bring athelas for my headaches too.
I love it as well that we can interpret Aragorn's healing abilities as we please.I must say it makes me cross when some people claim their view is the only correct one! |
