I think that Legolas will never be able to let go of Aragorn, no matter how much time passes with them seperated. But when Aragorn is growing old and Legolas much less so, that will be the saddest time.

The line you had about Aragorn growing so weak and old that he longer even finds the ability to get out of bed and stand on his own really made me think about this and how
Aragorn and Legolas will be so seperate as Aragorn falls under more and more pressure, from Gondor and his obligations to his family and his life. Their lives are so different. But they'll always be brothers. :)

This is lovely and touching. Yes, their friendship is strong and deep, a reader can easily feel it. Nicely done.
