That's a nice little story, Ellynn. I can well imagine the setting, and I especially liked your description of Aragorn, his fears and strength, through Legolas' eyes. And Legolas absolute faith in his friend is touching, as always :-).

Author's Response:

I am glad you like this. :) I enjoyed imagining this setting, I enjoyed as the pictures had been coming to me; although Mirkwood has some dreadful parts and there are dangerous creatures, I believe it is beautiful as well.

Thank you for reading and reviewing! :)

I like the tranquility of this little vignette. It truly captures the feeling of sitting alone at night and pondering past, present and future. It's like time is standing still to give you a moment to consider. And that's how this story feels to me: like a tiny moment suspended in time, standing apart from all the battles and the decisions and the saving of the world.

Author's Response:

Thank you, Michelle, I am glad you like it. I enjoyed writing it. A tiny moment, you say? Now that I try to remember, I think I wrote this at work: I "stole" a few tiny moments to escape from RL to ME. Not for the first, and not for the last time... *blush* :)
