Oh, that last sentence was so very powerful - and so evil at the same time! It's quite tragic that through it all you can't shake the impression that they could just as well have turned out as friends. They want the same things, but somehow that seems to be exactly the problem! (Also, I noticed that Ecthelion is not in the character dropdown. I will add that ASAP.)
