Oh really? There was actually one time when their journey was uneventful? I can't really imagine it:) A most unusual story about Legolas' sealonging. As this was obviously set before the Ringwar I was wondering how you would make this work with canon, but I certainly hadn't expected Ulmo to make an appearance! A very clever solution (and I share Aragorn's thought of the island being enchanted - I definitely got that expression as well).

It wasn't easy trying to figure out how on earth I was going to solve that problem. I'm not above a little AU, but I wanted this to be a reasonable explanation that wouldn't conflict with canon. Ulmo came to me as the solution, when I saw a picture of him at the Council of Elrond site. The enchantment aspect I left to the reader to decide about. :o) |
