This story captures very well the conflicting thoughts that might have run through

Aragorn's mind after learning about his heritage.

I could hug Elrohir for what he does for Aragorn, giving him a lively picture, so

that he indeed can see his father, even if only through Elrohir's eyes.

Well done!

Sorry for the delay in responding, Amarok.  I was away, and I obviously missed this review!  But, thank you so much for taking the time to review.   I really appreciate it, and I’m glad that know that you enjoyed this.  It is one of my oldest stories, but still one of my favourites, and for just the reason you mention—that Aragorn is given the opportunity to “see” his father through Elrohir’s eyes.

Thanks again,

I read this through the Teitho fanfic contest--I loved it then, and it was lovely to read it again. I am becoming more familiar with your work from your other stories, and this story sort of sets the tone of the Estel/Elrohir dynamic for me.

I will say, though, that Elladan is my favorite twin. I like how you portray him as well in your other stories, as the more the serious guardian. I do hope that he gets to know Aragorn as well as Elrohir does, although I'm sure their relationship will always be of a different nature. (As it should be. :-)

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for reviewing, Annette.  I love to hear from you!

I think that Elladan is also my favourite of my twins as well, though I love them both, of course.  The more I think about the whole story arc and where it is going, the more I realize that it is Elladan's struggle and what it represents, as well as Elladan's evolving relationship with Aragorn, that is the central theme which runs through my writing.

Thanks again,
