My stories are about Aragorn (strictly bookverse, but not always canon). I'm an old-time Tolkien fan from the 1960s. My canon blasphemies primarily have to do with religion; I prefer to see the Elves as more magical and less holy--more like the ancient Irish people of the sidhe, or Tuatha De Danaan.

Other fantasy-adventure writers and stories I like: Ursula Le Guin, Marion Zimmer Bradley's Darkover series, Orson Scott Card's Alvin Maker series, T.H. White's "Once and Future King," Eddings' The Worm Ouroboros, Joy Chant, Evangeline Walton's Mabinogion, Robin Hobb, George R. R. Martin.

I also read Anthony Trollope, Jane Austen, Toni Morrison, Shakespeare and J. G. Farrell (among many others), as well as a good amount of history and politcs. Latest recommendations: John Barry's "The Rising Tide: The Mississippi Flood of 1927" and "A Crack in the Edge of the World" by Simon Winchester, about the San Francisco earthquake of 1906.

Please leave me a review! Don't lurk! If you like my stories, there are more at www.tolkienfanfiction.com.
