A wise story, that's the first description that comes to my mind. I find it very thoughtful of Faramir (I'm sure that was his idea) to include Beregond in their littl e act of remembrance. Sometimes, you just need something tangible to get to terms with things - and share your worries with others. Which seems to be nothing Beregond did in the past.

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased you found this story wise. Yes,it was Faramir's idea that Beregond join in the ceremony.

 

I deliberately made Beregond's wife unable to understand to show his isolation.
