Oh I just LOVED this!  A really unique story about the bonds of friendship and how misunderstandings can cause almost irreparable harm.  I'm curious as to what caused Aragorn and Legolas to become estranged for so long.  How sad for each of them to have suffered a broken heart for so long!

Hi Amarok,

I just looked into your profile and was delighted to find this story there! I loved it when I read it in the Teitho contest (it was my first place vote) and kept hoping it would be posted somewhere where I could add it to my favourites. I especially liked how you described Aragorn and Legolas' emotions in this story - I just love it when a story is written in a way that keeps me on the edge of my seat the entire time, and this one surely did (I don't think I'd have survived an ending without reconciliation *g*). I also really enjoyed your OC, she was both very believable and likeable. This is a really great story, and I'll go and add it to my favs right away! :)

...uh..., wow... reading such a review first thing in the morning really is a great thing! Glad you liked it :-). Thanks!!

(Oh, and I'd not have survived writing an ending without reconciliation ;-) )

This story got my first place vote at Teitho.  Congrats on a well-deserved first place.  I think the fact that the friendship between Legolas and Aragorn isn't portrayed as perfect makes it more realistic.

I love the whole idea of the arrow and the way it conveys meanings to both of them.  I also love Daria.  She's a wonderful character that I would love to see again.  Perhaps you could go back and tell us of the time she helped Legolas.  Well done.

This is going on my Ffavorites list.

Author's Response:

*blush*... uh... many thanks...

... uhm, and yes, of course I know there is at least one story not told yet..., if ever it will come to me I will write it - I would want to know myself what happened, after all... :-)

Mmm, loved this story. Can't seem to resist the wounded ranger. And if there is some shadow hanging over Aragorn's and Legolas' friendship, then I'm going to repeat myself again and again : loved it, loved it, loved it!

Author's Response:

... grin, it seems you are not the only one who can not resist a wounded ranger... ;-). Nice to hear you liked it that much :-)

I like Daria. She a meddling old woman - but in a good way! And I like that you never tell us what exactly happened between Aragorn and Legolas - no one ever elaborates on that "fight" they had. It makes you think and come up with own possibilities - which I always like to do:)

Author's Response: Thanks, Michelle :-). And I am glad it worked in the way I intended it to... (with me leaving out some things, I mean) ;-)
