First read and the first review! Double score! Alrighty, I must say it was confusing in the beginning, and I had to take it slow, and reread, trying to figure out if you fabricated a second son for Arathorn, and if Arathorn were somehow still alive and grasping Gilraen's hand. Reading it a second time, I understood it (perhaps because I knew it was Elrond, the "he"), so making it clear that it was Elrond would be no bad thing. On such a short story, leaving out the name until halfway through is less than desirable, to me at least. But good show! Nice to get it from Elrond's point of view!
